We all bring different backgrounds and experiences to the church. Nevertheless, we have in common the sacred journeys that are our lives. At University Christian Church you will find friends to laugh with when the road is smooth and easy, but you will also find strength and inspiration to sustain you when the road is bumpy and difficult.

Perhaps yours is a young family interested in our children's programs. Maybe you are an older adult searching for fellowship and meaningful activities. Or maybe you are brand new to our city and you're looking for a congregation you can call home. Whatever you are searching for, whatever your needs and however you have come to our doorstep, please know that you are indeed welcome at University Christian Church.

Because God's welcoming spirit is alive in this congregation, we want to know more about you. Tell us how we can become companions with you on your journey. Talk with our members. Feel free to ask any of our ministers about the church. Never hesitate to call our church office for information. Wherever your life's journey may be leading you, let us know what steps we may take so that our path's will continue to cross at University Christian Church.

 UCC's Vision Statement

What We Believe - Who Are the Disciples?

Newcomer 's Class

A Newcomer's Class is offered in September, November, January, March, and May, which consists of three to four Sundays during the month you choose. We meet in Room 201, at 10 a.m., to answer your questions about UCC, it's programs, beliefs, ministry, and how we can help you find your place here within our community of faith.

How Do I Join?

We welcome into our membership persons from all denominational backgrounds, as well as those who have never accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. People desiring to join University Chrisitan Church may do so by:

Confession of their faith followed by baptism by immersion; or

Transfer of their church membership from another congregation.

An invitation is extended each Sunday at the close of the service to persons wishing to unite with our church to come forward during the singing of the closing hymn.

Though it is not necessary, people desiring to join our church are encouraged to meet with our one of our Ministers ahead of time and discuss their interest in becoming members of our church.

Rededication
There are times a person who is already a member of our church may want to rededicate their life to Christ. This can be done by coming forward at the close of any worship service during the singing of the closing hymn.
