Directions Home
 |
Briefly know as Directions Home, the vision and purpose of Fort Worth’s ten-year plan is to assure that homelessness will be a rare, short-term and non-recurring experience in Fort Worth, Texas by the year 2018.

There are three major goals.
- Homelessness will become rare as every year fewer households will fall out of housing and into homelessness.
- Homelessness will be short-term, with no one homeless more than twelve months, thus ending the chronic homelessness that currently exists.
- Homelessness will be non-recurring, it will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
