Sunday Morning Programs
Nursery through Kindergarten
Childcare is provided for infants through kindergartners from 8:30 a.m. - noon each Sunday. Families are free to enjoy the many opportunities for faith enrichment on Sunday mornings here at UCC which their youngest children are lovingly cared for by trained/background-checked child care providers.
Sunday School and music time is at 10 a.m. for ages two through kindergarten. All nursery and preschool programming is on the first floor of the church. Lessons are wonderful, interactive, and hands-on. Our current preschool curriculum, produced by Abingdon Press, is Rock Solid: Building a Heart of Faith and Rock-a-Bye for our Two-year-olds.
Description for Cokesbury about Rock Solid curriculum:
At each age level on every Sunday the children will be invited to a faith experience. It is during this time that they can come to a better understanding of God and what God calls them to do and be. They come to know Jesus as the Son of God and take his messages to heart. They seek where the Bible speaks to them today. Lessons will be intentionally written around this faith experience. Activities, crafts, stories, and games will contribute to this faith experience. At the end of the time together, the children will have had a chance to meet God and to open themselves for a life-changing transformation.
Elementary Grades One through Five
Children enjoy the nationally acclaimed Journey Land program during the 10 a.m. Sunday School hour experiencing multi-dimensional learning workshops such as drama, art, storytelling, movement, geography, games and missions, puppets, cooking, movies and video making, and computers. Each year there approximately ten rotations, each consisting of four or five weeks on a given Biblical theme. The children go to a different workshop each Sunday. Adults love teaching in the different workshops for a month at a time using their talents to make a difference. All Journey Land rooms are on the second floor of the church with directory boards posted on each corner.

Throughout the life span of learning at UCC, we hope to provide children, and their families, strong Biblical teaching and companionship in all of life’s moments of milestones, celebrations, and struggles.

Visitors:
All children's classes promote to new grade levels in mid-August and remain in these classes until Promotion Sunday the following August. So your child's grade level is what they were on the most recent Sept. 1st. On your first visit please ask your child's teacher or shepherd for a green Child Information Card so that we are aware of any allergies or special needs. This also allows us to add you to our contact list for events and information pertaining to children and families. Welcome!
